Communication & technological gaps

In both my personal and professional life, I kept seeing the same problem. Elderly people often rely on phone calls as their main way to communicate. They don’t always feel comfortable using digital tools like messaging apps or online platforms.
At the same time, busy professionals are trying to protect their time. Many of them, especially independent workers, are looking for a better work-life balance. But they face a tough choice: either they stay reachable by phone at all times, or they turn it off completely. The latter leaves callers without answers, often feeling lost or forgotten.

Both a private and a professional issue

This wasn’t just something I read about. I’ve lived it. I saw family members struggle to reach people because they didn’t use email or apps. I also saw professionals overwhelmed by constant calls, even during weekends or vacations.
For the past five years, I’ve worked on tools for booking healthcare appointments online. I know how helpful tech can be. But I also know it doesn’t work for everyone. This gap felt both real and urgent.

Virtual secretary to the rescue

Most professionals prefer asynchronous communication. Email, text, or chat allows them to answer when it suits them. However, we mentioned before that these tools can feel foreign or hard to use for elderly people.
That’s when I had the idea. What if we could turn phone calls into asynchronous messages?
This is exactly what Eva does. An Electronic Voice Assistant answers the phone and transforms each call into a clear message. The caller speaks as they normally would. Eva transcribes it, summarizes it, and delivers it as a written message. The professional can then reply in their own time.
No one feels left behind.

Right skillset

I’m an engineer by training and specialized in artificial intelligence during my studies. Over time, I’ve focused on using technology to tackle societal challenges. Eva brings all of that together once more.

Restoring dialogue

We are not just building software, we are restoring dialogue. Eva keeps the door open for those who still speak by phone. And it protects the time of those who can’t always pick up. In a world full of noise, Eva brings peace of mind.
This is the first and last time I’m signing a blog post. From now on, we’ll let Eva speak. She was born from a real need, built with care, and ready to carry the conversation forward.
